Castlemaine health services merge

Castlemaine Health and CHIRP Community Health have merged following endorsement by both boards.

The integration was supported by an independent review and feedback from staff, consumers, partner organisations and the wider community.

Community health clients and the wider community will not experience any changes to the services they receive or the staff delivering their care.

Castlemaine Health offers a comprehensive range of hospital and healthcare services – medical, surgical, midwifery, rehabilitation, aged care, allied health and outreach services.

CHIRP Community Health is a community-based, public benevolent organisation that has been working with the local community since 1984.

It provides a wide range of services and programs aimed at promoting health and wellbeing and preventing illness.

These include counselling and psychology, alcohol and other drug services, community health nursing, housing services, family services, diabetes nurse education, dietetics, physiotherapy, exercise physiology, health promotion, youth mentoring, resilience programs in schools, first aid training and mental health first aid training.
